<p>Coupling for connecting two pipes, consists of a fibre reinforced plastic member with inner and outer walls, and ring shaped depressions that hold seals. A coupling for connecting two pipes consists of a fibre reinforced plastic connection member (14) with an inner wall (16), an outer wall (18) and two ends (20,22). The inner wall has ring shaped depressions (28) near the ends, which contain a rubber elastic seal (32) with a sealing lip (34). Each seal has an inner diameter that is less than the outer diameter of the pipe to be connected. The inner wall has a ring (40) which protrudes inwards, half way between the ring shaped depression, and its inner diameter is less than the outer diameter of the pipe to be accommodated. The connection member inner diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the pipes to be connected.</p> |
