<p>The invention relates to a coating apparatus for paper/board web, the apparatus comprising at least one nozzle unit(3, 3a, 20). The nozzle unit has a feeding chamber (12) extending in the longitudinal direction (W) of the coating apparatus, into which chamber the coating to be fed is conveyed by feeding means (4), and a nozzle slot (11) in flow communication with the feeding chamber, the said slot also extending in the longitudinal direction (W) of the coating apparatus, and to which the coating to be fed is supplied from the feeding chamber over the total width of the nozzle slot and further conveyed out of the outlet opening (31) of the nozzle slot (11). The coating apparatus comprises means for the rapid opening of the said at least one nozzle unit (3, 3a, 20) for cleaning the nozzle unit (3, 3a, 20) of dried or clogged paste.</p> |
