<p>There is provided a charge-type electronic clock which can resume operation of a clock circuit and check the clock operation when power is turned on. The charge-type electronic clock is characterized by including: a first power source (2); a clock circuit (8) connected to the first power source; a power supply detection circuit (86) detecting that a second power source (3) is turned on; switch circuits (7, 9) for connecting the first power source to the second power source; and a control circuit (87) for controlling the switch circuits so as to connect the first power source to the second power source to charge the first power source by the second power source and operate the clock circuit when the power supply detection circuit detects that the second power source is turned on.</p>
