A sofa bed has a folding metal frame which converts from a sofa with back support into a flat base. A one piece cushion (8) is secured under the front edge of the frame by a removable bar and is positioned over the seat and over the back support (A), with the rear edge of the cushion secured to the bottom end of the seat back. The removable bar is clipped between two side panels (B) which are clipped to the frame.
