<p>A trim comb for a coat of an animal, e.g. horses and dogs, has a number of cutting plates (5) mounted on a bar separated by spacers. The bar is fitted onto a hand grip (3) via splayed support arms (4). The cutting plates have a hook shaped cutting edge with a cutting angle of less than 30 deg. in the direction of grooming. The shape and spacing of the cutting plates provides an efficient removal of dead hair without painful pulling of healthy hair, which slides past the cutters. Tangled hair is efficiently cut through by the cutters.</p> |
