The infinitely variable change-speed gear for a bicycle has a hydraulic slide cylinder which is fitted around the corresponding axle of the pedal crank or rear axle, and is operated by hand from the handlebar. When oil pressure increases in a corresponding cylinder a piston extends to change the position of the cylindrical components. A slide cylinder is rigidly fitted on the rear axle and pedal crank respectively.
