PURPOSE: A device for extracting a pitch by using an EGG(Electro-Glotto-Graph) signal is provided to complementarily use an EGG signal and a voice signal in order to detect a pitch for voice recognition and synthesis functions, thereby automatically searching an error of the extracted pitch from an EGG. CONSTITUTION: A pitch extractor(11) extracts the first pitch from an EGG signal. A pitch error section detector(12) compares the first pitch with a voice signal, and detects an error section caused by an error of an EGG. A pitch error section modifier(13) extracts the second pitch from the voice signal, searches a part corresponding to the error section of the first pitch, and replaces the error section of the first pitch with the second pitch. The pitch extractor(11) simply performs a differentiation process or compares front/back data when extracting the pitch from the EGG signal, and obtains a period and a frequency.
