PURPOSE: A method and system for processing message transmission between a CDMA network and a GSM network is provided to transmit messages interactively between a CDMA network and a GSM network. CONSTITUTION: If a CDMA subscriber makes out and transmits a message, the message is transmits to a CDMA MSC. The CDMA MSC transmits an SMDPP(Short Message Delivery Point-Point) message containing the received message to an ISMSC(Integrated Short Message Service Center)(310). Receiving the SMDPP message, the ISMSC transmits an SMDPP Ack Message to the CDMA MSC(315). The ISMSC confirms the destination number contained in the SMDPP message and judges whether the terminal to receive the first message is a GSM terminal(320). In case that the destination terminal is a GSM-subscribed terminal, the ISMSC transmits an SRI(SendRoutingInfoSM) message to a GMSC(Gateway MSC) of a GSM network in order to confirm the location of the destination terminal(325). An HLR in the GSM network grasps the location information of the destination terminal and transmits an SRI Ack Message, including the location information, to the GMSC(330). The GMSC transmits the location information to the ISMSC(335). |
