PURPOSE: A digital voice recording system and a PCI module therefor are provided to analyze and record messages such as a phone number originated from or received by a digital phone and simultaneously record a voice by connecting a private branch exchange or a key phone system and the digital phone in parallel. CONSTITUTION: A line interface unit(10) connected in parallel between a private branch exchange or a key phone system and digital phones separates digital signals transmitted from or received by the digital phones into a message and a voice. A line controller(20) transmits the message extracted and separated in the line interface unit(10) to a main controller(30) and the voice to a digital voice recording unit(50), and provides a clock signal and a frame synchronous signal to control a speech path and operations of the line interface unit(10). The main controller(30) transmits the message received from the line controller(10) to an application program of a computer, and controls the line controller(20) and the digital voice recording unit(50) by receiving a control signal transmitted by the application program. A computer interface unit(40) transmits all the message generated from a PCI module having a digital voice recording function to the computer and also transmits the control signal transmitted by the application program to the main controller(30). The digital voice recording unit(50) records the digital vice received through the line interface unit(10) and stores a generated voice file in a hard disk of the computer.
