<p>A small-size light-weight head/disc test device can be obtained at a low cost. A spin stand includes disc rotation means for rotating a magnetic disc and head movement means for detachably supporting the magnetic head and moving the magnetic head at least in the disc track width direction. The head movement means has fine positioning means capable of performing highly accurate positioning in a small movable range and discrete positioning means for setting the small movable range of the fine positioning means at predetermined discrete positions. Moreover, the head/disc test device includes the spin stand.</p>
