ERBIUM YAG LASER APPARATUS

PURPOSE: An erbium YAG(yttrium aluminum garnet) laser apparatus is provided to allow for a treatment of hard parts of body, while reducing thermal damages caused due to the laser treatments. CONSTITUTION: An erbium YAG laser apparatus comprises a power unit(10) for supplying a power; a laser generating unit(30) for receiving the power from the power unit and generating a laser; an optical fiber(50) for transmitting the laser generated from the laser generating unit; a refrigerant supply unit(70) for supplying a refrigerant for cooling and washing the part of the body of a patient heated by the laser; a refrigerant pipe(80) for conveying the refrigerant supplied from the refrigerant supply unit; a control unit(20) for receiving the power from the power unit, and controlling the power of the laser generated from the laser generating unit and the flow of the refrigerant supplied from the refrigerant supply unit; and a laser handpiece(60) for supplying the laser transmitted through the optical fiber and the refrigerant transmitted through the refrigerant pipe to the part of the body of a patient.
