FUNCTIONAL ICE FOR COOLING FOOD, CONTAINING SILVER COMPONENT

PURPOSE: Functional ice containing a silver ion in a colloidal state therewithin is provided. The silver ion destroys harmful bacteria present in the food, the functional ice containing the silver ion, therefore, improves the freshness of the food. CONSTITUTION: A predetermined amount of water(4) is poured in a water tank(3), a silver rod(5,6) is installed at regular intervals in the water tank, and a current is then applied thereto to electrolyze the water to give electrolyzed water containing a silver ion(2) in a colloidal state. The electrolyzed water is then frozen in a conventional freezer.
