The invention relates to a device for building muscles and training fitness, in which power is transmitted from the body of the training person onto a cylinder via a rod assembly, a chain, a belt, or other transmitting elements. Said cylinder is filled with a liquid and raises a liquid column within an ascending pipe such that a constant counterforce which is largely independent of the rate or acceleration of motion is generated across the entire path of motion. In a special embodiment of the invention, said counterforce allows a counterforce to be applied in both directions of motion. |
