A wall mounted fuel fired heater has a rectangular burner shaft (1) formed by front, side and back panels fitted onto a rear support plate (4). The bottom of the shaft is fitted with a burner and the top of the shaft is covered by a heat exchanger (2). The panels are clad with thermally insulating material. The spacing of the side panels is selected by selecting different fittings onto the support panel. The heater is covered by a clip fitting housing (8).
