PAPER WEB SEPARATING STRIP AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

A paper web separating strip capable of obtaining a sufficient strength even if the thickness dimension is reduced and of reducing the amount of loss of paper web due to strip marks; and a method of producing the same. Since the strip is formed by superposing a paper sheet (1b) on a core (1a) consisting of a synthetic resin film, a sufficient strength can be obtained even if the thickness dimension is reduced through the use of the thin but high-strength core (1a). Thereby, the strip has a strength equal to or higher than a strip formed by folding a paper sheet alone or a strip formed by widthwise joining a number of twisted cords as in the prior art, and it is possible to greatly reduce the thickness dimension.
