PURPOSE: A power apparatus is provided to reduce a power consumption of micro computer and display unit of microwave oven. CONSTITUTION: A power apparatus comprises a power key(51) for controlling on/off operations; a regulator(53) for receiving the AC power supplied from an external source and outputting a DC power for operating a micro computer(65); a relay unit(57) for turning on a relay switch(RSW) by flowing a current on a relay coil(RC) in accordance with the control signal output from the micro computer, and supplying the AC power supplied from an external source to the regulator through the relay switch; and a buzz(67) and a display unit(63) for informing the canceling of press operation of the power key by permitting a user to visually and acoustically recognize the operating status of the micro computer in accordance with the control signal output from the micro computer.
