<p>A method of using status images describing a process in a control system for an industrial automation process. In the method, process values are collected from the process describing the status thereof. Structured status documents are generated from the process values collected from the process. The process values comprised by at least two status documents are compared when there is need to find the differences in the operation of the process at different points in time.
