A gutter 10 for a building comprises: a trough portion 20 for collecting and transporting rainwater, which has an upper 22 and a lower 24 channel which are nested and spaced apart, wherein the upper channel 22 is external to the building. The cutter also comprises a fastening portion (40, fig 2) provided at the lower channel for fastening the gutter to one or more structural support members 12 internal to the building; and an insulating material 30 interposed between the upper and lower channels. The fastening portion 40 and the upper channel are not connected to each other. The gutter may comprise a thermal break member (50, fig 2) interposed between the fastening portion 40 and the upper channel 22, the thermal break member (50) being adapted to inhibit heat transfer between the fastening portion 40 and the upper channel 22. The thermal break member (50) preferably comprises a sheet having low thermal conductivity such as a polymer. The gutter may be coated with a corrosion resistant material. |
