PURPOSE: A mobile phone for learning a language and its method are provided to allow a user to conveniently search a word and learn a foreign language anytime anywhere by adding an electronic dictionary. CONSTITUTION: A controller(100) stores data in a memory card(108) or read stored data according to a user's instruction. A memory unit(102) stores various information such as a phone book and a text message. A key input unit(104) inputs user's commands. An LCD(106) displays a search result of a word inputted by a user. A duplexer(112) in a multiplexer/demultiplexer managing signal exchange between antenna(120). An audio processor(118) codes or decodes data of the memory card(108) through the controller(100). A speaker(124) outputs a coded or decoded signal through the audio processor(118). The memory card(108) includes a database of a foreign language dictionary. A memory card inserting unit(110) attaches or detaches the memory card(108).
