PURPOSE: A one-component reagent system for Karl-Fisher coulometric titration is provided to obtain excellent preciseness and reproducibility in water content measurement. CONSTITUTION: The one-component reagent system for Karl-Fisher coulometric titration comprises a 1000 ml solution consisting of 2-3 mol of imidazole, 50-65 g of iodide, 0.4-0.6 mol of amines and 1-3 mol of dehydrated sulfurous acid gas, and methanol as a solvent.
