A system and method for uniformly and equally supplying ink to both ends of a droplet generator

The system has a mono-directional inlet port (28) through which fluids is supplied to a drop generator (30). A bi-directional fluid port (34) associated with the generator acts as an additional inlet port during print operation of a print head (20). The fluid flow to the generator through bi-directional port is equal to that of the fluid flow to the generator through the mono-directional port during the print operation. An independent claim is also included for supplying ink flow to a droplet generator associated with the print head.
