Herein is depicted an invention that prevents failures and flaws when working with seam sewing machines. Said system can be employed for diverse aims, among them are: knowing when the bobbin thread is going to finish, and replacing it to avoid incomplete pieces; knowing when the needle starts loosing its sharpness, and then replacing it before damaging the work pieces; Knowing when the preventive maintenance, lubrication or change of internal mechanical pieces are needed before they fail to operate; and quantifying thread consumption per work piece. Theses are only some of the uses the system has; it is possible to use it for some other related aims. The system counts the seam sewing machines operation cycles, and allows to be programmed to set alarms for determined cycle numbers. In this way are obtained different duration cycles of the bobbin, needle, etc. There can be implemented one or more independent counters in the system, for managing several parameters for each of this counte rs is programmed to set an alarm when reaching certain quantity. A general alarm may be implemented for all internal counters or an independent one for each of them.
