A small head-mount display for observing a magnified image formed by superposing an image of an outer field on an image display means which is disposed with a magnifying reflector in a substantially symmetrical relation with respect to a combiner. This display is further made small using a Fresnel reflector. An optical system for this head mounting display, which is adapted to excellently correct the aberration by providing the magnifying reflector with a suitable non-spherical surface. <IMAGE>
