The method involves allocating time slices depending on available transmission capacity and temporarily storing them in a ring buffer allocation to a terminal at a definable allocation time point. A ring buffer writing area is defined with first variable upper and lower time thresholds, a write pointer position is determined depending on the allocation time point and the allocated time slice placed in a field corresponding to the pointer position. The method involves allocating time slices for data transmission to a terminal after it has made a request depending on the available transmission capacity in the network and temporarily storing them in a ring buffer before they are allocated to the terminal at a definable allocation time point.
