The laser scanner has a laser module (11) providing a pulsed laser beam (13), an associated detector (15) and a driven deflection device (17), for scanning the pulsed laser beam across a surveillance zone and directing the reflected laser radiation from the surveillance zone onto the detector. The deflection device has at least 2 relatively angled reflection surfaces (47a,47b) for the pulsed laser beam, the laser module offset from the rotation axis (49) of the reflection device. |
