PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat insulating material for protection in which the heat insulating material for protection useful for promoting hardening of a calcium silicate plate and a cement-based building panel material by a hydration reaction in a pressure furnace is provided with durability, is repeatedly usable, has improved releasability from articles of boards and smoothness, and can protect articles of boards so as not to differ physical properties such as water content of articles of boards positioned at the outer side from those of articles of boards positioned at the inner side. SOLUTION: This heat insulating material 1 for protection is used for promoting hardening of boards 3 such as a calcium silicate plate, a cement-based building panel material, or the like, by a hydration reaction in a pressure furnace. In this case, the heat insulating material comprises fibers as a main component having durability of >=90% strength retention after being allowed to stand in pressurized steam at >=120 deg.C for 100 hours and is repeatedly usable. |
