The door handle comprises a body (2) positioned in and flush with the door surface. The body incorporates a gripping element (3) movable between a rest position (A') where it is flush with the handle body and a use position (B') where it is located outside the handle body. A release element (4) is maneuvered by the user to displace the gripping element between the two positions. The release element can move between first (A) and second (B) positions. The handle has a mechanical connection (5) connecting the release element and the gripping element so that displacement of the release element from its first to second positions produces proportional displacement of the gripping element between its positions.
