PURPOSE: A circuit for driving an organic EL display device is provided to reduce current consumption, by reducing current supplied to the organic EL by reducing a precharge time of a passive matrix organic EL display. CONSTITUTION: According to the circuit for driving an organic EL display device(400) including a current source(401) supplying a constant current to the organic EL display and a sync part(402) to reset a column electrode line of the organic EL display, a precharge part(403) precharges the column electrode line of the organic EL device with a constant voltage using a voltage source before a signal displaying a gray level is applied to the organic EL display.
