Worktable with two drive units, for numerical control machine tools

The worktable has a face plate rotating with a supporting structure (2) that is hinged to a frame of a machine tool, about a reference axis (A) upon a command to rotate. A polyphase electric motor (4) maintains the rotation of the face plate at a high speed about the axis. A torque motor (5) varies the angular position of the faceplate about the axis and with respect to a predetermined angular reference. An independent claim is also included for a numerical control machine tool.
