<p>Olefin double bonds present in polymers and copolymers of conjugated dienes are hydrogenated by putting the polymer or copolymer of conjugated dienes in contact with hydrogen in inert solvent and in the presence of a catalytic system containing titanium compound(s). Hydrogenation of olefin double bonds present in polymers and copolymers of conjugated dienes comprises putting polymer or copolymer of conjugated dienes in contact with hydrogen in inert solvent and in the presence of a catalytic system having titanium compound(s) of formula (I). [Image] M : Ti(III), Ti(IV), or their mixtures; R'' : organic or inorganic radical of anionic nature different from (optionally substituted) cylcopentadienyl, or oligomeric group of formula -(A xD yU z)R (I)>; R 1-R 5atoms or radicals linked to the cyclopentadienyl group coordinated to the metal M, selected from H or any other organic or inorganic substituent of cyclopentadienyl group; R 6inorganic anion, hydrocarbyl having 1-20C, or R'; w : 0 or 1; R' : oligomeric group of formula -(A xD yU z)R (I)>; A : 6-20C monomeric unit from vinylaromatic group polymerizable through anionic polymerization; D : 4-20C monomeric unit from conjugated diolefin polymerizable using anionic polymerization; U : generic optional monomeric unit from unsaturated compound co-polymerizable with D or A; R (I)>1-20C hydrocarbyl; x, y : 0 or an integer;and z : 0 or 1-20. The sum of x and y is at least 2, preferably 2-50, more preferably 2-25.</p> |
