METHOD OF RECOMMENDING PROGRAM USING META DATA

PURPOSE: A method of recommending programs using meta data is provided to transmit programs selected by a user to a digital TV system of the user. CONSTITUTION: Actors, genres and contents providers that a user prefers are set. User preference is converted to XML meta data in a server(200) and stored in a user preference meta data DB(230). A contents provider(300) provides contents to a system server such that contents information and contents meta data are stored in the server system, and index items of the contents meta data are compared with user preference meta data items stored in the DB. The contents are transmitted to a user's digital TV system in the order of weight items. The contents are transmitted together with contents list information.
