<p>Feed material is conveyed to a discharge region at a given quantity rate, while a roughage bale is conveyed to a shredding mechanism at a given speed. The resultant shredded bale content is conveyed to the discharge region and the feed material are then simultaneously to the discharge region. The ratio between the bale conveying speed and the feed material conveying quantity rate is then selectively controlled based on the nutritional value of both the bale and the feed material. An independent claim is also included for a livestock feeding apparatus.</p> |
