<p>The machine has a humidity measuring devices (15,16) that are coupled to a control system (20) for direct measurement of a value related to humidity in a fabrics workpiece (1). The device outputs a signal indicating the humidity of the workpiece to the control system. The control system based on the device output signal modulates the heating of a heated ironing cylinder (7) that irons the workpiece.
