摘要 PURPOSE: A wear control method for an internal combustion engine is provided to prevent excessive wear by controlling the wear of engine parts with a warning device and to reduce the wear of the engine parts by decreasing the amount of a catalyst injected into the lubricating oil if 3-part polishing wear of the hard-phase engine part exceeds an allowable limit. CONSTITUTION: A wear control method for an internal combustion engine measures parameters of fuel or used lubricating oil showing the degree of 3-part polishing wear for engine parts. A material related to the 3-part polishing is changed to a direct/indirect function of the measured parameters. The operation condition of the engine is changed to the direct/indirect function of the measured parameters. Furthermore, the wear control method sends a warning to an operator if the measured parameter increases over a predetermined limit value. The fuel and lubricating oil are supplied to a cylinder(1) of the internal combustion engine by a fuel supply device(3) and the used lubricating oil is discharged. The engine is tested and a level of the 3-part polishing wear of the hard-phase engine part is determined. If the polishing wear is higher than the predetermined allowable wear degree, the fuel or fuel residual material is contacted less with the wall of the cylinder. The capacity of the fuel supply device for removing a material causing 3-part polishing from the fuel is increased.
