<p>A locking mechanism for a hinged door (12, 13) comprises first and second actuators (20, 24) having first and second bolts (21, 25) associated therewith, each said bolt (21, 25) being movable between free and locked settings. The first actuator (20) is adapted for mounting on a frame (15,16,17, 18) for the hinged door (12,13) and the second actuator (24) is adapted for mounting on the door (12, 13) at a location spaced from the first actuator (20). A drive mechanism (28) interconnects the second actuator (24) with the first bolt (21) when in its locked setting, such that operation of the first actuator (20) to move the first bolt (21) to its locked setting causes operation of the second actuator (24) to move the second bolt (25) to its locked setting. The first actuator can be fluid or electrically operated and the drive mechanism can include a cable or fluid link to the second bolt.</p> |
