PURPOSE: A system and method for calculating a charge amount by rates of a communication service are provided to allow a user to select an optimum rate and prevent a financial loss by applying actual use particulars of a communication service substrate to various rates and calculating a charge. CONSTITUTION: A communication service provider(1) provides a communication service. A communication terminal(2) receives the communication service, makes a phone call, and stores user particulars of a communication service that a user has used. A computer(3) receives the use particulars of the communication service provided from the communication terminal(2) and calculates a charge by rates. A charge calculation acting Web server(4) receives the use particulars of the communication service from the communication terminal(2) and calculates a charge by rates.
