PURPOSE: A wire rod cutter is provided which improves metal-in property of rolling mill by cutting workpiece in the same sharp shape as a shape of the front end part of the workpiece chamfered after cutting the workpiece, thereby preventing cracks generated on the workpiece. CONSTITUTION: In a wire rod cutter for rotating upper and lower cutting blades through driving motor and gear part connected to the driving motor, the wire rod cutter is characterized in that the upper and lower cutting blades(10a,10b) are symmetrically formed with being oppositely directed to each other, each of the upper and lower cutting blades comprises a plural blade members(12a,12b), the blade members are formed in such a shape that one side corners (p1) of the blade members are gathered at the center thereof, and the other side corners (p2) of blade members are widened so as to cut both corners of workpiece at the same time, wherein the widened other side corners (p2) of the blade members have width (w) wider than diameter (d) of the workpiece, and depth (D) of the blade members is also larger than diameter (d) of the workpiece.
