The frame has a pair of left and right tank rails (3, 4) extended from a head pipe (2), where the pipe and the rails are integrally formed by casting. Rear end portions of the rails are welded to front end portions of a pair of rear arm brackets (6). A cross component (7) couples upper end portions of the brackets and is integrally formed with the brackets by casting. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a vehicle body frame.
