The gasket (1) includes a spacer layer (6) containing a number of openings (2) corresponding to the number of cylinder liner-receiving combustion chambers in an internal combustion engine. A combustion region setting (3) including a soft iron ring (17) is located in the opening region and border pieces (5) are located in the edge regions. The spacer layer includes a number of actively connected functional layers (7-10) with given distances from the combustion region settings and border pieces. The functional layers include beads (11-14).
