COMPOSITION FOR EXFOLIATING SKIN AND TREATING BLACKHEADS CONTAINING PARTICLES PREPARED FROM POLYETHYLENE AND MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX, AND WATER

PURPOSE: A skin cleansing composition comprising: at least one surfactant; particles having a small particle size prepared from polyethylene; particles having a large particle size prepared from microcrystalline wax; and water is provided. It cleanses and exfoliates the skin while treating blackheads. CONSTITUTION: The skin cleansing composition comprises: from about 1 to about 25 percent by weight of at least one surfactant; from about 0.1 to about 10 percent by weight of particles having a particle size less than 300 microns, prepared from polyethylene; from about 0.1 to about 10 percent by weight of particles having a particle size greater than 300 microns, prepared from microcrystalline wax; and water. The method includes applying the composition to the skin and rinsing the composition off of the skin.
