The feed screw connected to a feed screw (28,29) forms a conveyor between the grate bowl and a fuel feed channel (15,17) placed on the outside of the combustion chamber, and which can be connected to a fuel store. The feed screw drive is connected to components for feed of fuel via the fuel feed channel. The drive and feed component are synchronised so that the part of the feed screw located outside the combustion chamber is empty of fuel when the burner is in normal operation. |
