<p>By convening accelerating action of a vehicle into braking action when sudde n operation of the accelerator is detected, this device prevents the more serious accide nt occurred when, in an emergency situation, an inexperienced driver accidentally yes th e accelerator pedal, contrary to his intention of pressing the brake pedal. Ev en for a skilful driver, by eliminating the time required for shifting the driver's foot from the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal, this device minimizes the distance traveled by the vehicle from the time of the detection of the situation to the time of breaking, hence minimizing the damage.</p> |
