METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING DECISION STANDARD OF OPTICAL RECEIVER OUTPUT SIGNAL AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A device for optimizing a decision standard of an optical receiver output signal is provided to measure output characteristics of an optical receiver, and to optimize a decision standard of an output signal of the optical signal in order to obtain the lowest BER characteristic by controlling a reference voltage of the optical receiver, thereby magnifying efficiency and performance of an optical signal. CONSTITUTION: A modulation frequency component extractor(910) filters and extracts a modulation frequency signal component. A signal strength detector(920) detects strength of an electrical signal from a modulation frequency. A signal strength information storage(930) stores a detected strength value of the electrical signal. A reference voltage controller(940) outputs an optional reference voltage based on strength information of the electrical signal, measures the strength of the electrical signal as changing the reference voltage, compares the measured strength with the strength value of the stored electrical signal, and controls the reference voltage to make the measured strength a minimal value. A reference voltage generator(950) generates and outputs the reference voltage.
