METHOD OF INCREASING FIRING RANGE OF HARPOON OF UNDERWATER RIFLE AND ACCURACY OF HITTING THE TARGET AND DEVICE FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD (VERSIONS)

FIELD: small arms. SUBSTANCE: method includes setting dependence between velocity of harpoon of underwater rifle, diameter of spout-cavitator and flow rate of air per second, viz.: q = kV0d2, where V0 is maximum velocity of harpoon at firing, m/s; d is diameter of spout- cavitator depending on ratio of maximum velocity of harpoon V0 and diameter of spout-cavitator d equal to 1-10. Harpoon of underwater rifle is provided with end-piece with spout-cavitator in its front part. Inner cavity of body is made in form of receiver where piston is mounted; this piston dividing receiver into two cavities is connected with rod. In rear cavity of receiver there is charging valve and outlet hole for communicating this cavity with water medium; this hole is closed with stop valve on the outside. Through hole in the front cavity of receiver is used for receiving rod by its lesser diameter and its larger diameter of this rod shut-off this hole, thus forming check valve engageable with air supply passages. Air is fed to front cavity of receiver due to availability of large clearance between piston and receiver housing. Optimal ratio of maximum diameter of spout-cavitator and maximum diameter of end-piece body ranges from 0.5 to 1.5 and optimal ratio of distance between base of spout-cavitator and maximum diameter of end-piece body to this diameter ranges from 0 to 10. EFFECT: increased firing range; enhanced accuracy of hitting the target due to reduction of hydrodynamic resistance of harpoon moving in water medium and due to creation of steady axisymmetrical cavity around it. 6 cl, 2 dwg
