FIELD: metallurgy, namely continuous casting of slabs. ^ SUBSTANCE: mold of machine for continuous casting of slabs includes wide walls mutually tightened through narrow walls mounted between them by means of springs, hydraulic cylinders and braces. Springs are mounted on one end of each brace; hydraulic cylinders are mounted on opposite end of each brace. Springs and hydraulic cylinders are arranged at outer sides of each wide wall. There is through axial opening in rod of each hydraulic cylinder; brace is placed in said opening. Rod is made of two parts. One part of rod is joined with piston; its another part in the form of connection sleeve is joined with opposite wide wall by means of tubular fixing member having shoulder. Nut is arranged on tubular fixing member; between said nut and wide wall of mold self-aligning spherical washers are arranged. ^ EFFECT: increased time period of mold operation, enhanced maintenance condition. ^ 3 dwg |
