FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly in mills for cold rolling of steel sheets. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of guiding rolling and backup rolls to stand; providing combined rotation of mutually forced rolling and backup rolls and simultaneously supplying cutting fluid onto rotating rolls; step-by-step changing compression effort of rolls and revolution number of drive unit of rolling rolls; at initial phase of process creating compression effort for forcing rolls in range 200-300 t; setting initial linear velocity of rolling roll rotation no less than 100 m/min; increasing compression effort until its working value and further increasing revolution number of drive unit until its working value; at final phase of process lowering revolution number of rolls until 100 m/min; reducing compression effort for roll forcing until 100-200 t; arresting drive unit for further unloading stand until 100-200 t. Invention provides monitoring of operation modes of control systems used for rotating rolls under load and arresting of drive unit of stand when such change is detected. EFFECT: controlled increase of strength of rolling and backup rolls, prevention of damage of contact surfaces and bearing assemblies of backup rolls. 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 1 ex |
