PURPOSE: Provided are a color photoresist composition, which can reduce stains and afterimages, omit a UV ashing process, and improve morphology and uniformity of a color filter pattern, and a liquid crystal display using the color photoresist composition. CONSTITUTION: The color photoresist composition comprises a compound selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by the formula 1, a compound represented by the formula 2, a compound represented by the formula 3, and a mixture thereof, wherein R is independently or simultaneously linear or branched C1-C20 alkyl or aromatic group, m is an integer of 0-100, and n is an integer of 1-100. And the liquid crystal display contains a color filter containing the color photoresist composition.
