A three-phase isolating switch comprises bridging contact members 7, 8, 9 pivoted upon shafts 13, 14, 15 journalled in a stand 16 having a plane upper surface, each shaft lying parallel to a line passing through the corresponding fixed contacts and being on the opposite side of a plane, normal to said surface and passing through said line, to the moving contact in its open position. The contact bridges 7, 8, 9 are carried upon insulators 10, 11, 12 coupled by a linkage 18 to a pivoted operating arm 17. The contact bridges may be constituted by cartridge fuses. |
