FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, reprocessing of ferriferous materials, such as electric furnace and converter slag, steelmaking dust, rolling mill scale or secondary metal wastes. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing steelmaking liquid slag comprising ferriferous material with chrome iron ores or chrome and nickel containing dusts for setting slag alkalinity of 1.2-1.6; maintaining bath temperature at the level above 1,600 C, in particular, in the range of from 1,600 to 1,800 C and introducing resultant mixture into carbonaceous liquid iron bath or forming it. Method allows high-value ferrochrome alloy, as well as slag safe for environment, to be produced. EFFECT: increased efficiency and economy. 8 cl |
