<p>The fastening strap (1) has two end segments (4, 5) with fastenings, and an intermediate expanding portion (6) made from a number of flexible links (15) with sections (17, 18) joined together by breakable bridges (20) across their central apertures (19). The bridges are circular in section and of increasing diameter from one to the next so the links are able to expand in sequence as an increasing force is exerted on the strap.</p> |
